Winter Wonderland

The week before Christmas, it snowed and snowed.

It was quite magical.

 Driving kids to school:

Doing my weekly hike in a gorgeous snowstorm - we were the only people on the mountain and the first to blaze the trail for the day.

I'm so grateful to live in a place where we get a beautiful white Christmas!

Since the majority of the snow came on a Saturday when we didn't really have anywhere we had to be - for once - how pleasant it was to watch the snow fall, watch the kids build snowmen with all their neighbor friends, serve up hot chocolate, and snuggle by the fire.
